When you install the Wave Byte app, we collect the following information from your Shopify store: • Store domain (myshopify.com URL) • Store owner name and email address • Product and order data necessary to enable fulfillment • Wave Byte account credentials (email address only — passwords are never stored in plain text) We do not collect or store payment card details. All billing is handled securely through Shopify's billing API.
We use the information collected to: • Authenticate your Shopify store and Wave Byte seller account • Sync products from the Wave Byte catalog to your store • Automatically forward customer orders to Wave Byte for processing and shipping • Send you transactional emails related to your orders and account • Improve the app and fix technical issues
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with: • Wave Byte operations team (to process and fulfill your orders) • Shopify (as required by our integration and their terms of service) • Service providers who assist us in operating our platform, subject to confidentiality agreements
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon uninstalling the app, we will delete your store's session data within 30 days. Order history may be retained for up to 7 years for financial record-keeping purposes, as required by applicable law.
We implement industry-standard security measures including: • OAuth 2.0 for Shopify authentication • JWT tokens for session management, stored encrypted in our database • Passwords hashed using bcrypt with appropriate salt rounds • HTTPS enforced on all endpoints

This app does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Session cookies are used solely to maintain your authenticated state within the Shopify Admin embedded app.
